Network Explorer doesn’t collect, store or share any personal information. It has no accounts, analytics, advertising or tracking.
The tools send network requests only when you run them. They go to the hosts and servers you enter, and to these public services:
- rawip.io, to show your public IP address
- Team Cymru’s DNS service (asn.cymru.com), to show which network an IP address belongs to
- the whois servers of IANA and the regional registries, when you use Whois
- the DNS servers you choose, when you use DNS
Those services receive your IP address and the query, as any internet service does. Their own privacy policies apply.
Settings, such as the optional device label, are stored only on your device. Exported reports are created only when you share them, and go only where you send them.
